Headwaters’ roots grew from the same soil that was nurtured by famed botanist and plant breeder Albert Etter in the 19th century.
Guided by the mindful principles of sustainability, our founders built and created the heart of the farm by burying their own hands in the dirt. Now, Headwaters has grown into a vibrant and thriving farm-to-market business focussed on sustainable cultivation, high-touch bulk commodity distribution and the creation of consistent and reliable consumer products. Run by a group of of cannabis innovators with a unique blend of business and agricultural knowledge, Headwaters leverages the institutional knowledge of its team to bring the company mission to life in each of its three prongs of business.
At Headwaters, every decision we make—from production strategy to design—is guided by the three values we all share. We’re Stewards of the Environment For us, the only kind of cultivation that’s worthwhile is the kind that replenishes the environment—which is why our farms always adhere to the principles of sustainable agriculture and are fiercely committed to sun-grown cultivation, watershed protection and forgoing harmful pesticides.
The Headwaters family is a group of ardent naturalists that celebrate nature in our free time, and advocate for its protection while we’re at work. We’re Champions For Our Community Nothing is made in a vacuum—especially not an agricultural product. We recognize the hard work and care that go into every step of our business and treat our employees, partners and customers with the respect and value they deserve. We Promote Personal Well-being We believe deeply in the power of cannabis across the full spectrum of life-enhancing benefits: from physical pain relief to alleviating stress.
We are committed to supporting the communities in which we work by directing 1% of our proceeds towards local nonprofits that are focused on the environment, mental health and addiction.
