Informed Consumption for medical cannabis patients
There’s great interest in the use of medical cannabis as either a replacement for certain pre-scriptions, or as an exit ramp from chronic opiate use. Informed Consumption for Ohio medical marijuana patients represents the need to know exactly what they are taking, in order to evalu-ate its therapeutic value.
While general consensus is that there is a lack of research on the efficacy of medical cannabis products for chronic pain and opiate use disorder, there is actually quite a strong body of scien-tific research on the topic. This session will explore this research, provide helpful and applicable information for patients looking to use cannabis in this way and will allow for patients to ask specific questions regarding their use and replacing opiates with medical cannabis.
