SunMed Growers

In 2002, Jake Van Wingerden, a third generation greenhouse grower, purchased 45 acres of land in Earleville, Maryland with a 60,000 square foot greenhouse included. He began Tidal Creek Growers, growing containerized bedding plants for large growers and resellers who sell to companies such as Lowe’s and Home Depot; as well as directly to local garden centers and landscapers.

Today, Jake and Tidal Creek Growers have expanded to 620,000 square feet of state of the art, heated greenhouse space and 17 acres of shade houses and outdoor fields between two facilities. Annuals, perennials, vegetables, and herbs are sold and delivered by Tidal Creek Growers to garden centers and landscapers throughout the Mid-Atlantic and North East corridor.  The company produces over 8 million plants per year.

SunMed Growers was born from the passion and experience of Tidal Creek Growers and is dedicated to cultivating the safest medical cannabis utilizing "Dutch" style greenhouse technologies that have been proven and used throughout the world.  Our team of professional growers has many years of experience utilizing these systems growing vegetables and flowers.  At the heart of our growing techniques are sustainable biological practices to control insects and disease naturally without the need for applying fungicides or pesticides.
