About MM Lab, Inc

MM Lab launched in 2015 provide analytical testing services to the medical marijuana industry in Nevada. The company’s mission is to protect the public health by providing quality analytical testing services to cultivators and producers of cannabis products.

Our state-of-the-art lab is centrally located in Las Vegas across from the Palms Casino. We have invested in over $1 million to create a laboratory to meet the challenging testing requirements set by the State of Nevada to ensure patient safety.

Our laboratory staff is composed of chemists with strong backgrounds in analytical chemistry. We follow the strict guidelines for good laboratory practices, allowing you to rest assured that you are obtaining accurate results.

Features MM Lab, Inc

  • Potency
With over 400 chemical compounds, 80 unique to the plant itself (cannabinoids), cannabis chemistry is very complex. Our lab uses sophisticated High Performance Liquid Chromatography separation and detection techniques to accurately quantify the level of THC and other cannabinoids in the plant, extracts, and products.
  • Moisture
Knowing your moisture content is critical in understanding your ideal drying process. We measure this content in your leaves and buds and present on a weight basis.

  • Terpenes
Terpenes offer the plant's aroma and possibly certain benefits if ingested. There are about 200 terpene related compounds in cannabis, and all hold different purposes. We report major terpene levels on extract, edibles, and infused products through gas chromatography.

  • Foreign Matter
Anything present in your sample not usable, such as stems, is regulated by Nevada and should not be present above certain amounts. We closely inspect your cannabis for various foreign matter and provide photographs on a microscopic level in your report.

  • Microbial Screening
At many points, your cannabis may have become contaminated with bacteria, yeast, mold, or fungi. Ingestion may be harmful or even fatal, so we take delicate measures to qualify and quantity microbe content in your cannabis.

  • Residual Solvents
Toxic solvents used to extract active ingredients, such as butane, acetone, ethanol, propane, and carbon dioxide, may be present in your cannabis. We use several methods to find and remove such chemicals.

  • Mycotoxin
Mycotoxins, produced by fungi and molds, may be harmful or fatal if ingested. MM Labs uses a variety of screening techniques to detect and quantify mycotoxin levels in your product.

  • Heavy Metals
Heavy metals can find their way into cannabis product through soil, water, etc., and are toxic. MM Labs provides growers, dispensaries, and patients the opportunity to learn if their medicine is contaminated with toxic heavy metals.

  • Pesticide ResidueWhile pesticides may be helpful in the growing process, controlled and limited pesticide levels are very important on the consumer end, as they may be toxic or carcinogenic. Our lab uses several techniques to separate any pesticides present, then identify them.

  • R&D
Our full 8-test suite may not be needed for your specific needs. Any specific test needs will be met with a reduced cost. Additionally, our staff is well versed in analytical problem solving and can guide you through the right set of tests and sampling protocols to get exactly the information you need.
