Dexterity: Lab techs work with their hands and will need dexterity to work with small vials, test tubes, and delicate lab equipment.

Stamina: Lab technicians work long days on their feet, sometimes hunched over a workstation for long periods of time.

Technical Skill: Lab techs need to understand complex lab machinery and computer programs used to conduct tests.

Good condition vehicle to transport and pick up samples is a must with an clean driving record. Examples of Lab Technician responsibilities

Perform quality control tests in the lab as well as on-site when necessary. Assist with testing and calibrating lab equipment in preparation for specific tasks. Perform quality control tests on ingredients, completed products and product samples. Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control. Analyze retrieved data and prepare reports for laboratory management. Recognize and report any cannabis safety issues.
