Vulx was created with one simple goal in mind: to create an effective, sustainable soil amendment that not only grows better plants, but contributes to a better environment.   Our solution, much like the goal itself, is simple, yet profound: by reducing the amount of water agricultural businesses need to grow their crops, Vulx alleviates the strain placed on our resources, especially here in California where water scarcity is an ongoing and growing problem. Additionally, crops grown with Vulx require less fertilizer, thus reducing runoff pollution as well.   To achieve this environmental impact, we knew we had to create a business model that gave us the freedom to adhere to our values, while also allowing us to remain intimately involved with every facet of Vulx, from its development and distribution, until it’s with you in your garden.   As such, our mission statement is founded on five pillars Respecting the Environment: Our founding principle, and the value which informs everything else that we stand for. We are committed to only producing a product that leaves the soil better than it was before. Less water, less chemicals, more crops. Always. Maintaining Independence: As a small business, we have a unique opportunity to remain uninfluenced by large corporate entities driven by bottom-lines and financial gains. We pledge never to exploit or harm the environment for financial gain. Ever. Giving Back to the Land: This not only means enriching the soil in which crops are grown, but improving the land that surrounds it. By reducing water use and chemical runoff, we commit to making California (or anywhere that you may choose to grow) a better, healthier place to live.   Getting Our Hands Dirty: As gardeners ourselves, we know one of the joys of gardening is the feeling of soil in your hands; we believe our business should follow that same philosophy. As a small business, we want to engage with our customers in a friendly, genuine, and direct way, no matter what they may need. No middlemen, no automated call centers, just you, us, and the soil.
