In 2013, Steve White left his successful law firm to open his first Harvest location in Phoenix, Arizona. Though it felt good to win a court case, it couldn’t compare to the feeling he got knowing he was improving people’s lives. Thanks to Harvest, people suddenly had access to products, resources and support that empowered them to regain control over their health and wellness.
Recognizing the immense potential to do good, Steve took steps to amplify Harvest’s impact. It began with a comprehensive education program for both employees and customers. Thanks to rigorous training, Harvest’s world-class staff is able to suggest products and routines tailored to each customer’s unique needs. And to educate customers, several Harvest locations host patient orientations and monthly support group meetings for epilepsy, chronic pain, cancer, PTSD and more.
Harvest also continually looks to make an impact beyond the four walls of its dispensaries. Since 2013, Harvest has donated over $500,000 to local charitable organizations, veterans, seniors, and patients in need. In addition, Steve established Harvesting Hope, a non-profit organization that supports young children suffering from seizure disorders. To date, Harvesting Hope has provided assistance to over 100 families.
Today, Harvest proudly serves 9 states with many more locations on the horizon. Though Harvest has blossomed into something larger and more influential than Steve ever could’ve imagined, its mission hasn’t wavered; Harvest is here to improve lives through the goodness of cannabis. And with that in mind, the story has really just begun.
