Outaouais raids lead to seizure of 200 grams of cannabis, other drugs and weapons

Police officers from the Outaouais raided five homes and one vehicle in Thurso and Gatineau on Tuesday, finding illicit drugs, cash and weapons.

Police said the raids, turned up nearly 1,800 tablets of methamphetamine, $3,000 cash, more than 200 grams of cannabis in bulk, more than 50 grams of cocaine, more than 125 grams of hashish and magic mushrooms, as well as a Taser-like weapon, brass knuckles and two firearms.

Police said the raids were conducted as a result of information that was discovered during an investigation that began earlier this year.

A total of 30 police officers were involved in the operation on Tuesday. There have been no arrests.
