From treating insomnia to menstrual discomfort and being “snooped” by Snoop Dogg, Hollywood A-listers who enjoy a puff every now and then:

Leonardo DiCaprio

For DiCaprio, 2016 was a milestone year. Not only did he pick up his first Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award that year (not to mention the best actor Oscar for The Revenant), he also sported a brave new accessory at the SAG gala—a vape pen.

“I was 20 feet, 15 feet from Leonardo DiCaprio, sitting there with his mom. He was hitting a vape pen. But it wasn’t him that was making me kinda nervous—I was feeling this emotion because there’s an etiquacy [sic] of, when we’re there, that you pass that s**t, Leo! And he never did, so that was weird to me,” actor Miley Cyrus Miley said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Entertainment Tonight further commented, “Only Leo could pull off vaping at a major awards show.”

Charlize Theron

Cannabis edibles were the go-to for Charlize Theron (best actress for Monster in 2004) as she tried coping with insomnia. Quoted in the CNN news report, Theron said: “My mother showed up at my house, literally drove in her little tennis outfit and brought me a little container and just left it on my kitchen table. She was like, ‘So I got some blueberry-covered chocolate ones, but if you want it faster-acting, you should go for the mints. Those you suck, and it works faster’.”

The actor also admitted why she’s into cannabis at E! News: “I’d much rather get off sleeping pills and figure out a strain that helps me sleep better. So when I have a moment, I’m actually doing that with my mom. My mom has really bad sleep, too.”

 Jeff Bridges

A cannabis icon, Jeff Bridges (best actor for Crazy Heart in 2010) famously played ‘The Dude’ in the stoner comedy, The Big Lebowski. Surprisingly, Bridges admitted to laying off pot when reprising the character for a Stella Artois Super Bowl commercial (pictured above) this year. “I’ve smoked a bit of herb in my time. I chose not to smoke any doing that movie because the lines—every man, every f-bomb you wanted to get right in the music. You didn’t want to be improving stuff. I thought, I gotta lay off the pot, man,” as previously reported on The GrowthOp.

Jennifer Lawrence

Everyone’s imaginary BFF, Jennifer Lawrence (best actress for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013) once admitted getting in a fight about poop after smoking cannabis at Ellen DeGeneres’ 60th birthday party.

After enjoying a joint with some rappers while waiting for a ride, Lawrence admitted to “entering a different universe.”

She then recalled going to the porta potty, where she ran into a woman Lawrence was convinced wanted to poop. As reported by Canoe, the actor said: “I made a beeline for her and I went up to her and I was like, ‘Look, you gotta poop.’ And she was like, ‘No, I don’t. I don’t know why you’re saying that. I really don’t. She was kind of laughing, but was like, ‘No.’” The situation escalated after the actor unintentionally grabbed the woman “by the shoulders, shaking her, screaming, “You have to poop! You have to poop!”

Matthew McConaughey

Not only was McConaughey (best actor for Dallas Buyers Club in 2014) busted for suspected marijuana possession in 1999, but he also got worldwide recognition as a stoner icon for his role in 1993’s Dazed and Confused. The actor is back with a “bong” in his soon-to-be-released movie, The Beach Bum, where he hilariously got “snooped” by co-star Snoop Dogg.

During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the actor said: “My snooping happened when it was a scene where I’m going to Snoop, I’ve got writers block, and Snoop has the magic weed, all right? I go to Snoop and I go to the prop man and make sure I’ve got prop weed. Now, prop weed is not real weed. It’s like crushed oregano and stuff. So we get in the scene, it’s about a six-minute scene. We pass back and forth, and all of a sudden at the end, he goes, ‘Yo, Moondog — that’s my character—that ain’t prop weed. That’s Snoop weed.’ And I went, ‘Oh, you son of a gun.’ The next nine hours were a lot of fun, but I don’t think we used one word in the English language.”

Morgan Freeman

“Never give up the ganja!” Morgan Freeman (best supporting actor for Million Dollar Baby in 2005) was quoted saying in an Elite Daily interview. Calling for cannabis legalization in an interview with The Guardian, Freeman admitted to using cannabis for pain relief after a 2008 accident that left him with shattered bones in his left arm.

“They used to say, ‘You smoke that stuff, boy, you get hooked! My first wife got me into it many years ago. How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it! This movement is really a long time coming, and it’s getting legs—longer legs. Now, the thrust is understanding that alcohol has no real medicinal use. Maybe if you have one drink, it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and you’re fucked,” he said.

Whoopi Goldberg

Co-founded by Whoopi Goldberg and Maya Elisabeth, Whoopi & Maya is a line of medical cannabis products designed specifically for relief from menstrual discomfort. In an interview with The Daily Beast, Goldberg (best supporting actress for Ghost in 1991) says she believes cannabis is the new penicillin for period pain. “You know, not everybody drinks, but we still have bars and shit—so why not dispensaries?” Responding to then-U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s comment, “Good people don’t smoke marijuana”, the actor said in the same interview, “But the states aren’t going for it; and the people aren’t going for it. This is the new penicillin. There are so many things it helps, why wouldn’t you want this in our lives?”
