Las Vegas, NV, June 11, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --
via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Hemp, Inc.(OTC PINK: HEMP), a global leader in
the industrial hemp industry with bi-coastal processing centers
including the 85,000 square-foot multipurpose industrial hemp
processing facility in Spring Hope, North Carolina, a state of the
art processing center in Medford, Oregon, and a 500-acre hemp
growing Eco-Village in Golden Valley, Arizona, announced today
Florida Agriculture Department officials are working to move
forward with the rule development process for the stateâs hemp
program.
Currently, the hemp program that was passed by the legislature in the spring is awaiting Governor Ron DeSantisâs signature and would become law on July 1, 2019. In a hemp update video by the Florida Agriculture Department, the Florida Cannabis Director Holly Bell describes why hemp would be beneficial to the state and the steps the department is taking to fill the request for a new crop by state farmers.
According to Florida Commission of Agriculture Nikki Fried, industrial hemp could be a $20 to $30 billion market within the next decade.
âFlorida has a unique farming economy because they have ranked first in the U.S. in value of production of multiple crops, but farmers in the sunshine state are looking to switch things up,â said Hemp, Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin. âHemp has more than 25,000 uses and farmers can see the desire throughout the state, country and world for the various uses this versatile cash crop has, and like any good businessperson, they want to be on the forefront of this movement.â
The department will be hosting multiple informational workshops throughout the state prior to finalizing the draft rules and posting them online for public review prior to approval. Once the rules are in place, the permitting process will begin and farmers will obtain grow permits toward the end of 2019.
Perlowin continued, âFlorida farmers are eager to get started growing hemp and Hemp, Inc. is eager to begin looking for partners in the state to further our footprint across the country. The American Hemp Revolution is happening as states are continuing to make strides forward and legislation continues to develop throughout the United States.â
Farmers who are interested in growing hemp in Florida once the bill is signed can listen to The Hemp Universityâs west coast March 23rd and May 4, 2019 workshops online. The online masterclasses are $10 each and include lectures from industry leaders on informative topics pertaining to the hemp farming industry. The next southern Oregon Hemp University entitled âPre-Harvest Symposiumâ is scheduled for Sunday, September 8, 2019 and will include topics such as efficient harvesting, streamlined processing, and profit channels. Previous Hemp University workshops have taken place in North Carolina.
In addition to already hosting The Hemp University in North Carolina and Oregon, Hemp, Inc. also plans to expand their educational reach to Arizona and Puerto Rico. Arizona is a location where Hemp, Inc. has multiple ventures which include a retail store called Hemp Healthcare in Dolan Springs, Arizona that sells high-end CBD and hemp-based products and its strategic growing partnerâs 500-acre hemp growing eco-village in Golden Valley, Arizona. Puerto Rico is an area where Hemp, Inc. is scouting new locations for a local processing center and scouting acres to grow high CBD hemp.

THE GREAT AMERICAN HEMPATHON
The Great American Hempathon in Golden Valley, Arizona creates joint ventures with growers and provides each grower with a five-acre parcel or up to 10 acres to plant on, and includes the planting, maintaining, harvesting and processing of hemp plants. The Hempathon will be situated on a 500-acre ecovillage, with 300 acres designated for growing hemp. (According to executives, the best days for planting are between June 10 and July 15, 2019.)
It costs $50,000 to participate in The Great American Hempathon and winners will share up to $100,000 in prize money, in a variety of categories. Five acres have the possibility to produce up to a million dollars or more of net profit. This joint venture arrangement would be a fifty-fifty revenue split with the Company.
The fifty-fifty revenue split with Hemp, Inc. (with half of that going to the Veteran Village Kins Community) will not only generate a substantial revenue stream for Hemp, Inc. and its shareholders and the Veteran Village Kins Community, it will also generate a positive return on investment for The Great American Hempathon participants. Through this partnership, participants receive more than just a cash profit. They are afforded an opportunity to learn from industry experts from all over America over a four to six month period.
The growers are divided into teams that include a master grower who is expected to have knowledge of the plant and experience growing cannabidiol (CBD) quality hemp. The growers are responsible for supplying seeds, clones, and soil. They are also required to install an irrigation system for their parcel, provide personnel, equipment and products required to grow.

ABOUT HEMP, INC. AND PISTIL PARTNERS, INC. PARTNERSHIP
Hemp, Inc. recently announced a partnership with Pistil Partners, Inc. and its subsidiary Ironside Hemp Company to further allow farmers to access high-quality clones. At the forefront of innovation, Ironside is a vertically integrated producer of CBD rich hemp with 175,000 square feet of greenhouses located outside of Raleigh, NC producing certified CBD hemp varieties including Cherry Wine (10-20% CBD content).
To learn more about Ironside Hemp clones and receive a 10 percent discount, please visit https://www.ironsidehemp.com/buy-clones/ and type âHempIncâ into the coupon code at checkout.
According to executives, this partnership comes at a time of continuous efforts for Hemp, Inc. and its mission to help new and veteran farmers entering the high cannabidiol (CBD) hemp farming industry as Hemp, Inc. continues the rollout of the King of Hemp premium CBD prerolls. With this partnership, the company has dedicated up to 1.5 million clones for North Carolina and surrounding statesâ hemp farmers and is offering a 10 percent discount on bulk clone purchases of 1,000 clones or more. Additionally, Ironside will provide all ongoing resources such as clone selection, pricing, logistics and potential consulting services.
There are both benefits and drawbacks to growing with clones or seeds. However, a high-quality clone crop will outperform a high-quality seed crop.
It takes considerable skill and know-how to make large batches of high-quality clones to plant outdoors, and it has been difficult to find quality clones in the market. This has led to a misconception that seeds are better. With the right clone provider, farmers can jumpstart hemp growing exponentially.
