Hemp, Inc. Receives Prominent News Coverage Discussing Hemp Legalization and Small Family Farms

Spring Hope, NC, Jan. 15, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK:HEMP), a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with bi-coastal processing centers including the largest multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility in the western hemisphere (in Spring Hope, North Carolina), announced today that the company received noteworthy coverage discussing its central role supporting family farms in the wake of hemp legalization that came about with the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill.

Specifically, Hemp, Inc. was featured in The Wilson Times. The Wilson Times is a local daily newspaper serving residents of Wilson, N.C. and surrounding communities.

The Wilson Times article, “Carolina’s next cash crop?: Farm bill will add hemp into more growers’ rotation,” discusses how the federal legalization of hemp is opening more profitable opportunities for North Carolina farmers who have struggled in recent years turning a profit with crops such as wheat and soy.

Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (HEMP) who has been looking forward to hemp legalization for a long time said in the article, “Now that [hemp legalization] is here, it is sort of an ecstatic moment for the entire industry.” The article highlights the company’s preparedness for federal legalization with its Spring Hope, NC multi-purpose industrial hemp processing facility, the largest in the western hemisphere.

“It took $20 million in three and a half years to build that plant. Now that it’s built, North Carolina becomes the inheritors of that infrastructure,” Perlowin said. “It is going to be hard for farmers anywhere else that don’t have a local processing center to process the hemp. I am glad we did it. North Carolina is a great state and can grow a lot of hemp.”

Some expect the global industrial hemp industry to hit $20 billion by 2022. Until recently, the U.S. has imported on average $100 million worth of hemp products each year, according to Congressional Research Service. Now, hemp legalization will allow American farmers and companies to tap into that market.

Hemp, Inc. was also featured on The American Family Farmer, hosted by lifelong broadcaster Doug Stephan.  The American Family Farmer is the weekly voice for small, independent farm owners.

In his interview feature on The American Family Farmer “Learn All About Hemp, As A Cash Crop,” Perlowin discusses his passion for promoting a “Back to the Land” movement, saying hemp “has the opportunity to bring the small family farm back to the American landscape. That’s something that we champion with our company. When you can make a million dollars on five acres, all of a sudden the small family farm becomes a viable entity again.”

Bruce also takes time to discuss the burgeoning cannabidiol (CBD) industry, which is fueling the demand for hemp in all forms: “people are even starting to smoke hemp, which is great because it allows the CBD to enter the bloodstream directly which allows users to experience the benefits right away.”

Hemp, Inc. is promoting a “Back to the Land” movement. It is supporting farmers across the nation with ventures including its local processing centers in Medford, Oregon; and, a 4,500-acre hemp growing eco village in Golden Valley, Arizona. With the help of industrial hemp, farmers will now have a livelihood that can sustain their preferred way of life with the ease of transporting seeds, clones and biomass across state lines and the ability for farmers to get crop insurance and bank accounts. The historical lift of the 80 year federal ban on hemp will allow Hemp, Inc. and its joint venture partners, the American farmer and the “Back to Land” movement to flourish.

Hemp, Inc. has also been helping to build the industrial hemp infrastructure that was basically non-existent in America. There are six divisions:

Division One â€“ The Industrial Hemp Infrastructure

Division Two â€“ The Hemp Farming Infrastructure

Division Three â€“ The Hemp Extraction Infrastructure

Division Four â€“ The Hemp Educational Infrastructure

Division Five â€“ The Hemp Marketing Infrastructure

Division Six - Accessories, Products and Services

VETERAN VILLAGE KINS COMMUNITIES

The company’s 500-acre strategic growing partner Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Arizona, is also designed to grow hemp and produce CBD products to benefit veterans as well as generate revenue for Hemp, Inc., the Veteran Village and individual veterans living in the community. Hemp, Inc. executives are also continuing to scout new locations nationwide to open additional hemp processing centers in legal markets.

For a more complete description on the Veteran Village Kins Community (as mentioned above), read the following October 24, 2017 press release, “Hemp, Inc. Announces Strategic Hemp Growing Partner ‘Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.’ Completes Final Site Plan Blueprints”, below:

Hemp, Inc. has announced that its strategic growing partner, "Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc.", has completed its final site plan blueprints for its 500-acre site in Golden Valley, Arizona (20 miles north of Kingman, AZ and 90 minutes from Las Vegas, NV). The site plan was submitted to the Mohave County Building Department for final review. The Company is also in the final stages of completing the necessary infrastructure to support an off-grid, renewable, energy system. With the solar equipment in place, the site's solar power operation will be completed in the next days.

As soon as the live streaming video cameras are up and operational, the world can actually see the way the Veteran Village Kins Community is designed and watch it being built. According to Perlowin, the basic framework or overall plan of the Veteran Village Kins Communities is to create a holistic healing and learning center that is designed to educate and heal veterans with PSTD, alcoholism, meth addiction, opioid addiction, and other psychological conditions while at the same time training them on the numerous aspects of being part of the emerging multi-billion dollar hemp industry.
