SPRING HOPE, NC, April 01, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE – Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP), a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with bi-coastal processing centers including the 85,000 square-foot multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility in Spring Hope, North Carolina, a state of the art processing center in Medford, Oregon, and a 500-acre hemp growing Eco-Village in Golden Valley, Arizona, announced today that the company and its subsidiary, The Hemp University, received notable media coverage from Southern Oregon television stations, CBS10 and NBC5 discussing the successful west coast educational seminar.

The CBS10 online article and television segment titled, “Hemp University: getting schooled on cannabis,” discusses Hemp, Inc. as a leader in the industrial hemp industry and how The Hemp University has helped educate the community about the industry. CBS10 also discussed what opportunities have become available for Southern Oregon residents and farmers in this billion dollar industry and how the seminar brought like-minded people together to discuss and learn from experts in the trade.

In addition to the coverage from CBS10, The Hemp University also gained traction from Medford, Oregon-based NBC5 with an article and segment titled “Hemp, Inc. holds first west coast educational seminar in Ashland.” Within the coverage piece, Hemp, Inc. CEO, Bruce Perlowin, discusses hemp’s continuously growing demand throughout the world. Michael Sandoval with Market Street Wellness was also quoted at the seminar by NBC5 saying “Breaking the stigma is probably the biggest reasons that we’re here — to try to educate everybody and let them know how safe these products are to use.” An additional segment on The Hemp University was also aired on NBC5 on Thursday, March 28, 2019, during the six o'clock news hour.

A report by Grand View Research projects that the global industrial hemp industry is expected to reach a market size that is worth $10.6 billion dollars by 2025 and Oregon’s hemp industry is expected to reach more than $1 billion.

“The incredible success of Oregon’s first Hemp University and the media coverage that the class obtained shows the incredibly high demand and curiosity around hemp and hemp-derived products,” said Hemp, Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin. “Through The Hemp University’s media coverage last week, we were able to educate many people in the area, even if they were not able to attend the seminar.”

With the exceptional response to the first The Hemp University, Hemp, Inc. has announced the second set of educational seminars in Oregon. This event is titled “Pre-Planting Support Workshop”, and is scheduled for May 4, 2019. This educational seminar will be hosted prior to Oregon’s hemp planting season and is designed to educate attendees on planting, feminized seeds, clones, soil amendments, organic fertilizers, and more. Vendors at this workshop will have most of these items on sale (if suppliers haven’t sold out by then) just in time for the 2019 planting season.

The second Hemp University seminars are intended to educate farmers, entrepreneurs or investors on how to grow a lucrative cash crop. For those interested in attending, presenting or showcasing at The Hemp University in May, please contact Sophia Blanton at [email protected].
