SPRING HOPE, NC, Feb. 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE – Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) a global leader in the industrial hemp industry, Hemp, Inc. has industrial hemp processing centers in multi states which includes the largest one (85,000 square feet) in the western hemisphere (in Spring Hope, North Carolina)., announced today that the company received noteworthy coverage from ABC15 Arizona discussing legislation that would speed up the rollout of the state’s hemp program, as well as the company’s Veteran Village Kins Community.

The ABC15 Arizona article, “Farmers could plant hemp in Arizona fields this summer, if bill passes,” discusses a bill being fast-tracked through the Arizona state legislature for the  implementation of the hemp program. If passed, the bill will allow the first seeds to be planted in June instead of August.

“Hemp means a goldmine for Arizona. An absolute goldmine… hemp is actually bypassing marijuana in price point,” Perlowin said in the article, which highlights the company’s development of a Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Arizona on 500 acres of desert farmland just north of Kingman, AZ. Hemp, Inc. announced in July 2018 that the growing community was expanding its footprint.

Perlowin continued, “When a farmer can make $100,000 an acre that is good money. That allows the small family farm to re-emerge into the American landscape--including Arizona.”

Veteran Village Kins Community is one of Hemp, Inc.’s strategic growing partners. The solar and wind-powered facility is designed to grow hemp and produce cannabidiol (CBD) products. The products will benefit veterans, as well as generate revenue for Hemp, Inc.

“We are thrilled to be featured by ABC discussing the exciting opportunities for hemp in the landscape of Arizona,” said Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. “Hemp is an extremely drought-tolerant plant that thrives in Arizona’s arid climate and it presents an incredible opportunity, both for small family farms and for our Veteran Village Kins Community. Within the community, veterans will find various health and wellness centers to support individuals who may have psychological, emotional or health issues. As demand soars, we also plan to build other hemp-growing, CBD-producing communities for other groups such as abused women & children, orphans, and the homeless. It’s our goal to do as much good with the opportunity we’ve been given while also meeting rising market demand for quality hemp-derived CBD products.”

Recently, Hemp, Inc. also announced the grand opening of a joint venture with retail store, Hemp Healthcare, in Dolan Springs, Arizona, to sell high-end cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp-based products. Hemp Healthcare is located off Highway 93 in Arizona, in a highly trafficked tourist area. Specifically located on Pierce Ferry Road, Hemp Healthcare is next to Dolan Station – a location that welcomes numerous tour buses daily with visitors from around the world that stop there on trips to the Grand Canyon. This venture marks the first step into the tourism market for Hemp, Inc.

Hemp, Inc. is promoting a “Back to the Land” movement. It is supporting farmers across the nation with ventures including its local processing centers in Medford, Oregon; and, a 500-acre (from a portion of their 4,500 acres in that area) hemp growing eco village in Golden Valley, Arizona. With the help of industrial hemp, farmers will now have a livelihood that can sustain their preferred way of life with the ease of transporting seeds, clones and biomass across state lines and the ability for farmers to get crop insurance and bank accounts. The historical lift of the 80 year federal ban on hemp will allow Hemp, Inc. and its joint venture partners, the American farmer and the “Back to the Land” movement to flourish, based on the fact that hemp is such a lucrative cash crop.
