SPRING HOPE, NC, Feb. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE – Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP), a global leader in the industrial hemp industry with the largest multipurpose industrial hemp processing facility in the western hemisphere, announced today a bill is being fast-tracked through the Arizona state legislature that will speed up the rollout of a hemp program. Meanwhile, Hemp, Inc. is ramping up operations with its strategic growing partner Veteran Village Kins Community in Golden Valley, Arizona. Hemp, Inc. announced in July 2018 that the growing community was expanding its footprint.

Veteran Village Kins Community is one of Hemp, Inc.’s strategic growing partners. The solar and wind-powered facility is 500 acres and is designed to grow hemp and produce cannabidiol (CBD) products. The products will benefit veterans, as well as generate revenue for Hemp, Inc. In Arizona, hemp is a popular discussion among government leaders and lawmakers are pushing to rush the hemp bill.

One advocate of hemp growth in Arizona is State Senator Sonny Borrelli. His catchphrase, “it’s rope, not dope,” has garnered attention as it easily demonstrates the difference between hemp and marijuana. Like many states, Borrelli sees hemp as a potential cash crop for the state, and Hemp, Inc. is ready to help make this possible through the 500-acre Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona.

“This is an exciting time for hemp and the state of Arizona, which is why we are continuing to make forward strides at the Arizona Veteran Village Kins Community, which includes preparing 80 acres for hemp growth as of today (a total of 300 of the 500 acres is already fenced in and will hopefully be prepped by the time planting starts in Arizona),” said Dwight Jory, the Project Manager for Veteran Village Kins Community Arizona, Inc. “We are currently in the process of completing two of the six geodesic domes to the property and are putting the finishing touches on security and our live feed video stream, which will be completed the first week in March.”

Hemp, Inc. CEO, Bruce Perlowin, said, “We were lucky to see the passage of U.S. Farm Bill in 2018, which has, in turn, sped up the process for regulations in Arizona. The Arizona Department of Agriculture is working right now to get the rules and licensing done so farmers can start applying. This is a great step forward for all of the hemp community, especially for Hemp, Inc.”

The state recognizes that there is a risk that hemp can have THC levels above .3 percent, so strict multi-level testing will be put in place. The importance of testing comes from the fact if higher than .3 percent THC levels are found in hemp, growers can be seen as growing marijuana. Hemp, Inc. is prepared for this with the company’s recent announcement that a third-party testing facility, Digipath, Inc. (DIGP), will be joining Hemp, Inc. at all three of the hemp processing facilities, which includes the location in Arizona. The addition of an on-site third-party testing facility will help Hemp, Inc. get the product to market quickly and keep costs down.

Hemp, Inc. will now have access to Digipath’s proprietary ISO-17025:2017 accredited standard operating procedures and testing protocols, to establish, maintain, and operate each lab. Per the agreement, once completed, the laboratories will be owned and operated by Digipath.

Recently, Hemp, Inc. also announced the grand opening of a joint venture with retail store, Hemp Healthcare, in Dolan Springs, Arizona, to sell high-end cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp-based products. Hemp Healthcare is located off Highway 93 in Arizona, in a highly trafficked tourist area. Specifically located on Pierce Ferry Road, Hemp Healthcare is next to Dolan Station – a location that welcomes numerous tour buses daily with visitors from around the world that stop there on trips to the Grand Canyon. This venture marks the first step into the tourism market for Hemp, Inc.

In addition to the strategic partnership with Veteran Village Kins Community, Hemp, Inc. plans to build hemp-growing CBD-producing communities for other groups such as “Abused” Women & Children Village Kins Communities, the “Orphaned” Children Village Kins Communities, “Homeless” Village Kins Communities and the “Healers” Village Kins Communities (the healers are professionals who are knowledgeable in the modalities to treat these traumatized groups).  These particular communities are all dependent upon one another and work simultaneously supporting each other. Within the Veteran Village Kins Community, veterans will find various health and wellness centers to support individuals who may have psychological, emotional or health issues.

Story continues

Hemp, Inc. plans to employ numerous "master hemp growers" working on their Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona. To date, the company has growers from Oregon, Colorado, California, Kentucky, North Carolina, Nevada and, Arizona who have expressed an interest in pursuing a joint venture with Hemp, Inc. to each grow industrial hemp on five of the 300 fenced acres in Arizona, a project that Perlowin calls, "The Great American Hemp Grow-Off."

According to Perlowin, every master grower he meets across America states he is the best grower, has the best hemp cultivars, has the best soil amendments and has the best organic fertilizers.  Since they all claimed to be the best, Perlowin decided to invite them to become joint venture partners in the pristine untouched Arizona desert to see who really is the best. Thus far, some of the top hemp growers in America are planning on joining us in Arizona. â€œWith this announcement, we expect a lot more people and companies to be a part of this grow-off. This event will also be part of the docuseries being filmed on the Modern History of Hemp announced in Hemp, Inc.’s press release on January 3, 2019.

Those interested in participating in the joint venture should email [email protected]. The final contracts for the joint venture will be available starting next week. The ABC News in Phoenix reporter, who recently interviewed Perlowin, said they will also cover the historical first planting of industrial hemp at the Veteran Village Kins Community in Arizona.

The annual hemp cultivation data and other statistics are provided by state departments of agriculture. Where states were unable to provide data on the hemp acreage planted, we estimated at 70% of licensed hemp acreage. This estimate is based on data collected in other states that has shown an average of 70% planting rate.
