Four charged in cannabis drug bust on Carling Avenue

Four Ottawa residents were charged with various cannabis-related offences after police executed a search warrant on Thursday at an illegal cannabis storefront on Carling Avenue.

The raid, conducted by the OPP’s provincial joint forces cannabis enforcement team, along with its organized crime enforcement bureau and Ottawa Police Service, netted more than $5,000 in processed cannabis, cannabis oils and edibles, approximately $4,000 in Canadian and U.S. currency and a designer purse valued at more than $1,000.

Charged are Thi Hong Nga Nguyen, 38 (possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling; possession of illicit cannabis; and possession of property obtained by crime); Tan Phang Pham, 47 (possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling; possession of illicit cannabis); Tan Nhuan Pham, 35 (possession of illicit cannabis); and Hoang Ngoc Han Vu, 18 (possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling; distribution of illicit cannabis).

All four have been released and are scheduled to appear in Ottawa court on July 30.
