Cornwall man pulled over with nearly $170,000 in cannabis products: OPP

When police stopped a “suspicious” vehicle on Highway 417 near Casselman early Tuesday morning, a search revealed more than $4,000 in cash and illegal cannabis products with an alleged street value of nearly $170,000, Russell County OPP says.

Police turned up nearly 5,000 packets that each contained a gram of cannabis concentrate and several containers of cannabis resin in the 12:15 a.m. traffic stop on the eastbound highway.

Joey Markus Seguin, 24, of Cornwall is charged with possession of illicit cannabis, possession for the purpose of distributing, possession for the purpose of selling, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available and possession of more than 30 g of dried cannabis or equivalent in a public place.

He appears in court in L’Orignal Apr. 24.
