SUNNYVALE, Calif. (AP) _ Bloom Energy Corp. (BE) on Tuesday reported a loss of $99.8 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Sunnyvale, California-based company said it had a loss of 91 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 12 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.
The developer of fuel cell systems posted revenue of $213.6 million in the period, also exceeding Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $205.2 million.
For the year, the company reported a loss of $241.8 million, or $2.54 per share. Revenue was reported as $742 million.
Bloom Energy shares have risen 7 percent since the beginning of the year.
