Warehouse Manager

️ Supply Chain

Reporting to the Director of Warehouse and Inventory management, leads the development and implementation of warehousing, receiving and outbound strategies to support the company's growth goals in the Cannabis industry. This position is responsible for planning and directing all aspects of warehousing activities at Sundial.

This position will be based out of the Olds facility approximately 80 % of time, but also required to spend time at Didsbury and Rocky view facilities to overlook and plan all aspects of receiving and warehousing.

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the receiving, handling and storage of medical and recreational finished products to the end consumer
  • Ensure that all operational supplies are monitored and ordered on daily basis and all required operational materials are filled on timely manner without impacting any delays
  • Train inbound team to highest level of quality and accuracy and conduct observations to ensure process is being followed
  • Develop and implement safety first culture and train all team on safety Sop’s and work instructions
  • Create and maintain respectful work place culture to provide best service to organization and client
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times
  • Lead all in-house, inbound, outbund intercompany, and outbound material movement
  • Oversee warehouse operations; including the safety, quality, continuous improvement, P & L, budgeting, cross training within those functional areas
  • Maintain contingency plans for time sensitive operations (unscheduled absentees, customer issues, systems malfunctions, inventory exceptions, transport challenges)
  • Develop strong partnerships with plant management, operations, planning, transportation, quality assurance and inventory control through daily meetings
  • Collaborate with peers across the company to share best practices and maintain compliance
  • Create plan for development and succession planning and team member and team leads
  • Develop, Maintain and update processes in accordance with SOPs and other documentation and best practices
  • Prioritize safety and quality in daily initiatives and when leading and mentoring team
  • Develop and monitor business KPIs and data for the areas of responsibility
  • Identify and explore opportunities for improvement using analytics and performance metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or other related discipline
  • 5 -8 years of varied and relevant experience across supply chain functions
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading teams
  • Change management and continuous improvement program experience
  • Previous experience in the cannabis industry is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamwork
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence the thinking and actions of others
  • Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective project management abilities
  • Ability to travel to Sundial production facilities (Didsbury and RV)
  • Experience: Warehouse Management: 5 years (Preferred)
