The VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING provides leadership and functional expertise for Marketing team within the medical cannabis and vaporizer business units. Specially this position is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and respective forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail.
  • Develops and recommends differentiated product positioning, messaging, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Achieves satisfactory profit/loss ratio and market share in relation to preset standards and industry and economic trends.
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
  • Prioritize marketing projects and allocate staff and internal resources accordingly
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Directs market channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals.
  • Organize market research, conduct analyze to determine competitiveness; identify, interpret, and capitalize on marketing trends
  • Continuously strengthen the marketing infrastructure and increase effectiveness and productivity of marketing team
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
  • Attend national and regional trade shows and industry networking events, customer events, and sales meetings, and act on behalf of the company
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical market, in either small or large companies (or related experience in management/strategy consulting)
  • Bachelor’s degree required with MBA or graduate level degree preferred.
  • Global marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Exceptional planning organizational skills including budget management.
  • Knowledge developing high impact marketing and collateral materials
  • Experienced in building metrics to measure impact of marketing efforts
  • Experienced in developing market strategies and marketing initiatives to maximize business opportunities in diverse markets
  • Experience working in the medical cannabis space considered an asset
