ROLE SUMMARY

As a Trimmer you will be responsible for cutting and preparing the cannabis flowers grown in the cultivation facility. This position is self-sufficient and focused on obtaining results and requires the ability to solve problems with minimal supervision. As a Trimmer you are responsible for completing the assigned tasks and maintaining the plants according to the provided company guidelines and standards. You will be trained in the proper use of the processing equipment and will be required to operate it. This position requires that work is completed in a timely manner and that you act with professionalism and respect to management and coworkers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Will propagate, cultivate, harvest and pick cannabis flowers.
  • Will prune flowers properly and meticulously, including cloning, trimming, weeding, moving plants, watering, potting and loading without damaging the plants.
  • Will harvest, dissect, cure, sort and inspect the flowers.
  • Must communicate delays in processing or damage to flowers to supervisor.
  • Will transport the harvested plants to be dried.
  • Will operate clipping machines and other equipment.
  • Will examine plants for signs of pests or diseases and alert supervisor if necessary.
  • Must take instruction and assist with tasks delegated by the cultivation manager, supervisor or a management team member.
  • Must maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area, all staging areas and facility at all times, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Will participate in harvest and processing as needed.
  • Will ensure the daily compliance of company policies including compliance with the state, security protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, access protocols, dress code and work schedule.
  • May be assigned other job duties as necessary.

    • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have basic weights and measurement skills and the ability to operate a scale
  • Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Must be trustworthy and reliable

    • SKILLS

  • Must be able to focus on a task or repetitive tasks for long periods of time and without losing focus.
  • Must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in various temperatures.
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
  • Must be able to complete work in an organized and timely manner.
  • Must maintain confidentiality.

    • WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This position operates in cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely uses cultivation processing equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to verbally communicate with coworkers.

    The position requires standing and sitting for long periods of time, walking, repetitive gripping motions, and reaching with hands and arms.

    This position frequently lifts, carries, or positions objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

    POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This position regularly requires long hours, frequent weekend work and flexible hours as needed.

    TRAVEL

    Travel is not required but may be requested on an as needed basis.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

    PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    One year of trimming or agriculture experience preferred but not required.
