️ Accounting

(Be sure to participate in the self-assessment module if you choose to apply)

Filigreen is seeking a capable and diligent Staff Accountant who will be responsible for all accounting and financial functions. The Staff Accountant will also be part of a team that creates and implements policies and processes in order to continue the company’s rapid growth trajectory. This includes identifying, resolving, and documenting accounting issues, as well as creating procedures to make the financial closing and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.

Key responsibilities include invoicing, reconciling and posting accounts receivable, administering accounts payable, processing payroll, monthly preparation of a forecast, annual preparation of a budget, filing of quarterly tax obligations, annual tax return preparation and all treasury administration.

You will report directly to the Controller and be part of every decision or activity that impacts the company’s financial statements.

The role requires you to be onsite at our San Francisco facility, working tactically alongside Sales & Operations, counting cash (literally), preparing supplier payments, interfacing with brands and assisting HR with payroll administration.

The cannabis industry is dynamic and constantly changing, so the demands of the position will evolve accordingly. This role requires you to deliver precise information under strict deadlines, think creatively, multitask, and provide strategic solutions to problems. The ideal candidate is someone who will evolve with the role; someone who is continually looking for better ways to manage responsibilities, identifying business efficiencies to ensure cost effectiveness, and finding improvements for building workflows (automating reconciliations, allocations, intra-company eliminations).
