JOB TITLES AVAILABLE:

  • Receptionist and Budtender/Patient Consultant
  • STATUS: Non-Exempt (part time to Full-time)

    COMPENSATION: Starting $15/hour; 90 Probation Period

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Patient Consultant is responsible to ensure each customer receives outstanding service by providing a positive and friendly environment. Which includes, greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and maintaining a high level of customer service.

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Dispensary Manager and/or Assistant Dispensary Manager.

    SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a cash register, credit card machine, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in a busy medical cannabis dispensary. Involves frequent contact with staff and the public. Work may be stressful at times and may include dealing with difficult patients and/or law enforcement. If you suffer from indoor/outdoor allergies, this will not be a healthy environment for you.

    AVAILABILITY : Must have a flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and be on call. Must be able to work varied hours due to our hours of operation.

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

  • Ensure strict controls to protect Dispensary assets at the direction of management.
  • Ensure patient concerns are solved efficiently and promptly.
  • Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
  • Recommend, select, and help locate the proper medicine for patients depending on their individual needs.

  • Communicate the effects of and different types of cannabis to patients.
  • Setting up and cleaning display cases daily.
  • Assist in display maintenance and housekeeping.
  • Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise and monitoring floor stock.
  • Communicate customer requests and/or problems to the Manager.
  • Ring up sales on Point of Sale System and handling cash and credit cards.
  • Input patient information correctly to our system.
  • Frequently maintain cleanliness, dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization of dispensary.

  • PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to dispense medicine accurately and efficiently.
  • Have personal knowledge of medicinal effects of cannabis.
  • Ability to communicate with other associates and customers in all situations.
  • Ability to adhere to the highest customer service with staff and the public at all times.
  • Ability to perceive and meet the needs of the staff and patients without direction.
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.

  • Knowledgeable on strains, genetics, growing and effects of cannabis and medication.
  • Ability to use math skills for Point of Sale (POS) system and cash register.
  • Needs to have high level of organization, patience, and flexibility.
  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years related experience and/or training; Retail, cash handling and Point of Sales (POS) experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience in medical cannabis industry highly desirable, but not required. Must be 21+ years old and pass criminal background check.
