Job Title: Receiving Supervisor
Dept: Inventory
Reports to: Director of Warehouse Operations & Logistics
Job Class: Hourly
Position Summary:
Responsible for coordinating receiving and other warehouse processes according to established operating procedures. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate department/locations. Leads the work of receiving personnel performing related work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
Deliver items to requisitioning departments and obtain authorized signatures for accepted items
May maintain department database, prepare routine reports and file receiving records
Lead, guide and train employees performing related work
May operate dolly and/or pallet jack in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
Follow established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards
Communicate any order issues or concerns to Director of Warehouse Operations & Logistics
Oversee the receipt of purchased items verifying counts and quality, complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures.
Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage and resolve freight claims in a timely manner
Qualifications:
2+ years of inventory receiving experience in a high volume establishment
Proven experience as a Receiving Supervisor
Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (specifically Excel)

Education:
Must have one or more of the following:
High school diploma or equivalent
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
Valid California Driver’s License
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time
Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly
Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment
Must be able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends
Working Conditions:
Normal warehouse environment (i.e., noisy, dusty, warm in summer, cold in winter, etc.)
