Quality Coordinator

Carousel Bay is seeking a hardworking, and qualified people to join our growing Production Quality team in Santa Rosa, CA. An ideal candidate will have four years experience in product Quality within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Team Lead will be responsible for reviewing the quality of materials; inbound base materials; cannabis and non-cannabis, and finished product goods outbound. Important aspects will include guiding personnel in the production of consistent high quality end product, providing feedback to production team members. Conducting audits, investigating best practices that improve quality and efficiency while working with production managers as well as identifying best practices.

Responsibilities

Assist with the development of quality standards and procedures

Confidently and consistently train and guide production employees in following quality standards

Inspect finished products and provide feedback to production employees and production managers

Review and investigate defective packaging materials and reports findings to manager

Assist production managers as directed and needed to include production work at times

Review, report and document daily quality findings to production managers

Review manifests and transfer documents to ensure compliance and accuracy

Review incoming packaging materials for flaws

Review and research regulations as needed

Assist with distributor related quality issues as directed

Review scale calibration, maintenance and use logs weekly or as needed

Validate incoming weights of flower

Investigate consumer complaints and participate in recall activities as needed

Maintain and document quarantine area

Participate in weekly physical audit and document

Set a high standard for employment attendance

Work overtime as directed

Embrace a continuous improvement spirit

Other assignments as directed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent, 2 year degree preferred

4+ years experience in product Quality within a manufacturing environment

Experience in a resource planning programs. Quickbooks, Dear, Verify

Traceability experience a plus

Passion for high quality, handcrafted goods with interest in the cannabis industry

Positive attitude, team player and willingness to learn new processes

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a high level of integrity

Experience in a cGMP environment/proficient knowledge of GMPs a plus

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be 21 years of age or older

Ability to commute to designated production location(s)

Ability to submit and pass LiveScan/background check
