As a member of Lowell’s you'll be working in a team environment to execute projects effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications/Requirements/ Duties

  • 6+ years experience as a Publicist
  • Language used to develop messaging for all audiences. We’d like you to define and refine talking points—and deliver a media savvy version of them at all times. Mine for all available collateral info for additional, newer points. You would create compelling (and constantly changing) messaging and subject matter expertise for each interview or meeting based on trends, hard news, and a broad and deep expertise from our spokesperson.
  • Follow media coverage as well as the coverage of competitors (both real and perceived) and place into the form of a regular report. We expect you to use this coverage not only to craft your own pitches and spur new ideas, but also to keep all stakeholders well informed. To be industry leaders, you must be in the know at all times regarding what your competitors are trying.
  • Providing editors with relevant, timely and interesting trends—and suggest intriguing stories. Specific topics and focus areas that you can influence and completely own.
  • Part traffic-drivers and part fodder for the archives/SEO, formal releases need to be well-timed and designed to support other outbound communication.
  • We prefer personalized correspondence with reporters, unless the news itself is material.
  • Draft press releases and strategically advise on the timing and topics.
  • Media Alert, which allows for the dissemination of more frequent short-term messaging. This includes events, new features, “press stunts”, and, for instance, day-of reminders for broadcast appearances. We do not prefer to be part of a templated carpet-bombing campaign.
  • We could only entertain CA applicants at this time. Again, we will only speak with CA candidates.
