We are seeking a key player as our Product and Process Manager. This position isn’t just about ‘product management’ nor is it just about ‘project management’ – it’s about the creation of new products and features for our member platform and establishing processes for management of product requirements throughout the entire development life-cycle. This person establishes processes for product release, is proficient in working with cross-functional teams and can translate customer and business needs into product definitions. This person should be familiar with and can carry out standard industry best practices and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This person will monitor and react to customer and consumer needs and feedback, constantly improving and expanding the experience for our members that is personal, compassionate, honest and discreet.

What does Product and Process Management look like?

  • Translate the customer experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap
  • Run user research, usability studies, data-driven experiments to inform product direction
  • Maintain and prioritize a product roadmap and backlog and ensure that new features and enhancements are validated and clearly specified
  • Lead a cross-functional team to ensure we implement the product vision efficiently
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, compliance, membership and engineering leaders across the organization to guide the platform roadmap pinpointing new requirements and features
  • Oversee enterprise-level product planning including identifying new opportunities as well as incorporating a rolling roadmap of business projects and technology initiatives
  • Write complete and detail-oriented product requirements documents and ensuring clear communication of those requirements to the business, design, usability and development teams
  • Manage the development and/or enhancement of a product even beyond deployment and delivery – user documentation is critical
  • Customer focused with deep empathy and understanding of customer needs and pain points
  • Liaise with operational units to ensure technology platform is in sync with logistics and supply chain functionality

  • 4+ years product management experience in a technological industry
  • 2+ years experience in consumer-facing products and/or ecommerce technologies
  • Natural ability to make stuff happen around you through influence. You handle chaos, ambiguity and complexity, in a detailed, organized way
  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and drive excellence in planning and execution
  • Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly platforms and customer-facing features
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills; demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
  • Implementation orientation; demonstrated ability to translate strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements
  • Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, schedule trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members
  • Proven ability to make smart feature (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs; experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and assertions of business value
  • Strong bias for action; ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Can establish and track KPIs that demonstrate the overall health of a product portfolio
  • Has lead the development and launch of moderately complex products
  • Has an understanding of development technologies and distributed web-based systems
  • Working knowledge of at least two or more functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing
  • You must be 21 years of age to apply for this position
  • Experience in the cannabis industry highly desirable
  • You must be able to work in our Orange County offices
