Packaging Specialist

We are seeking an individual to assist with the day-to-day functions of packaging our goods at our manufacturing facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Packaging finished goods, including sealing tea sachets into pouches and tins, applying labels and date stamps and resealing defective sachets
  • Inspect packaging and products to guarantee they are free of flaws and assembled correctly
  • Perform daily sealing of pouches, as well as cleaning and prepping delivery
  • Weekly counting and quality check of finished goods inventory
  • Operate small tabletop machines
  • Clean workbenches, floors, and machinery consistent with food handling standards
  • Maintain high quality control protocols at all times
  • Complete tasks efficiently to meet or exceed daily quotas for packaging
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing records and data
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, maintain space, including cleaning the tea machine and other equipment as needed and directed, and practice good food safety handling techniques at all times
  • Perform additional tasks as needed and directed by packaging lead
  • Ensure all areas in our facility is properly maintained, free of any garbage, clutter, etc.
  • Understand the needs of the company and work with team members to achieve goals
  • Requirements:

  • Basic Math Skills
  • Adapt to change quickly and with a positive attitude
  • Adaptable and comfortable in a very fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and at times independently
  • Adherence to cleanliness requirements and food handling procedures
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity
  • High school diploma or GED required (some college work preferred)
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Must be 21+ years old
  • Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to lift up to 40lbs without help.
  • Repetitive bending/reaching/squatting
  • Walking up to 30,000 steps per day
  • On your feet for the entire duration of your shift

    You must be legal to work in the United States Must have a CA Food Handling certification or the aptitude to get one

    Timeline:

    60 day temp contract At the conclusion of the temp contract, employees will have the opportunity for permanent employment either in packaging or potentially in emerging roles at the discretion of managers

    Experience: packaging: 1 year (Preferred)
