Nursery Position

Starting pay is $13. There is a one month probationary period. If you perform well, you will be offered $15 per hour and reliable, year-round work, with possible pay increases beyond $15 and occasional overtime opportunities. Normal work hours are 8 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. Weekend work is rarely required. Five days of paid time off per year.

This work requires a combination of speed and efficiency while maintaining a high standard of quality. Prior agriculture and/or nursery experience is preferred, especially pruning and propagation - however, no prior cannabis experience is necessary.

This position primarily involves taking cuttings from mother stock plants and inserting them into rockwool for rooting. You will be expected to either already know, or learn in a short amount of time, how to:

Take the right type of cuts from the mother stock plants, in the right locations

Prepare cuttings to our exacting specifications for height and number of leaves retained

Dip the cuttings in rooting hormone

Insert the cuttings in rockwool slabs, in the right location to the right depth

Be able to produce at least 100 high-quality clones per hour

Strictly ensure that the cuts are from the correct mother plant, and correctly labelled

Computer record keeping of clones produced

Necessary personal characteristics are:

Speed and attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination

Ability to stay focused and clear-headed, without "spacing out" while working

Absolutely NO use of any mind-altering substance during work hours, including Kratom, etc.

Strong work ethic, punctual and professional, emotionally mature

Ability to take direction and corrective feedback, while maintaining a good attitude

Available 5 days a week plus occasional overtime (we do pay time and a half for this)

Physically fit and able to routinely lift 50 pounds, and the ability to stand all day

21+ years old and qualified for OLCC worker permit (don't need to have one now)
