Manager, Supply Chain

Reporting to the Director, Canadian Supply Chain Internal, the Manager, Supply Chain (East) will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s internal supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize processes, efficiencies and productivity. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our production sites, product development, manufacturing, marketing, and international expansion teams to produce and deliver products to market.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with the Director, Canadian Supply Chain Internal to develop a strategic direction for long-term supply chain objectives that are aligned with business objectives
  • Manage and support Production Site Materials Management teams
  • Recommend and maintain optimal inventory levels at various stages in the supply chain to achieve patient and customer satisfaction levels
  • Proactively communicate with internal and external logistics contacts, cross-company functional contacts and suppliers/vendors to ensure a consistent and efficient flow of inventory
  • Ensure efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing product
  • Continually improve supply chain and inventory processes while ensuring standard operating procedures are followed
  • Coordinate regular cycle counts for each facility to ensure inventory accuracy
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals or emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset
  • Proven ability to manage multiple team projects and deliverables
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proven leadership and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast paced environment with fluctuating priorities or deadlines
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
  • Ability to manage and deploy initiatives by influence
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint considered an asset
  • Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge
  • Ability to facilitate continuous innovation initiatives, foster team building and simplify processes
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (i.e. liquor, tobacco, pharmaceuticals or tobacco is considered a strong asset)
  • Fluent in both English and French is considered a definite asset
