Laboratory Technicians

ChemHistory, LLC is a laboratory ten minutes outside of Portland seeking a combination of full and part-time Laboratory Technicians to join our wonderful staff. This position is hands-on and integral to laboratory production and daily operations. Typical responsibilities for this position include:

  • Maintaining scientific ethics and integrity
  • Adhering to TNI and NELAC laboratory standards and practices
  • Preparing materials for various extraction assays
  • Sampling intake, processing, and disposal
  • Volumetric measurement and handling of potentially hazardous solvents
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
  • Keeping daily records of environmental conditions
  • Being aware of laboratory hazards and safety regulations, including but not limited to wearing appropriate PPE
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • 21+ years old
  • Associates Degree, or 2+ years towards a 4-year degree in the physical sciences
  • Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Experience with ISO, NELAC, TNI, or CLIA
  • Team-player
  • Critical thinker
  • Compensation:

  • Starting wage is $15/hr
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance after a 90-day probationary period

  • Experience: Regulated Laboratory: 1 year (Preferred)
