Laboratory Technician

Reference Labs, LLC is seeking to fill new openings within the laboratory for the position of Laboratory Technician.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID), Benchtop Water Activity Meter, Moisture Analyzer, and Convection Ovens.
  • Proficient in the use of basic laboratory hardware such as analytical balances, syringes, and micro-pipettes.
  • Maintain clean glassware, solutions, and the preparation logbook for use in the daily testing of samples.
  • Understand and follow Quality System documents relevant to responsibilities, e.g., Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
  • Perform the necessary laboratory functions associated with the testing of cannabinoid containing products such as but not limited to: adhering to SOPs for the proper logging, handling and transport of laboratory test samples, solution preparation, performing chemical extractions, data collection, analysis and reporting, cleaning labware, and maintaining chemical inventory/ordering supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed the standards set by ISO/IEC 17025 and company requirements relevant to assigned duties.
  • Maintain a neat and accurate documentation and record system; keep accurate records of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes using both physical and electronic copies.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work; maintain and assist others in maintaining a clean, fun, and, safe work environment.
  • Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • PREREQUISITES: Associates Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred) in physical or biological science or closely related field with 1-year relevant experience.

  • Excellent communication skills. Responsive problem solver and action oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel data manipulation.
  • A strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Preferred experience:

  • HPLC-PDA: 1 year
  • cGLP/cGMP Regulated Environment: 1-year.
  • Experience:

  • HPLC: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Laboratory: 1 year (Required)
  • Education: Associate (Required)
