Laboratory Technician

Kin Slips is looking for an industrious, detail oriented, and motivated individual to join our team. We need people working hard under the hood to make sure our company continues to set the standards of excellence for cannabis products worldwide. You will be tasked with maintaining quality control through analytical testing, playing a role in product development, and following all SOPs to ensure the laboratory is maintained in safe, working condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, manage, and organize analytical testing on all company product batches.
  • Analyze testing data and provide insights and recommendations.
  • Provide technical and analytical assistance to product R&D efforts.
  • Correspond with third-party analytical agencies.
  • Coordinate with production quality control team.
  • Participate in and lend insight to discussions regarding product improvements.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical equipment, communicating issues to immediate supervisor.
  • Manage the collection, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Adhere to California Cannabis regulation standards and company GMPS.
  • Ensure workstations are clean, free of hazardous materials, and tidy.
  • Complete assigned tasks within given deadlines.
  • Vocalize process improvements and system breakdowns to management.
  • Occasional participation in the assembly line as needed.
  • Requirements:

  • B.S. in Chemistry or related field
  • Experience with HPLC analysis and troubleshooting
  • Professional experience with microscopy, GC Analysis, and biochemistry preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Microsoft Office, and technology in general.
  • Excellent time management skills, proven punctuality.
  • Ability to interpret instruction guides and follow a recipe.
  • Great analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to stay focused and work efficiently through repetitive tasks.
  • CA State Food Handlers Card.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Physical dexterity for working with small and delicate components.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work is a must.
  • Education: Bachelor's (Preferred)
