Lab Technician (Select Cannabis)

The Lab Technician plays a vital role in the successful operation and overall safety of the manufacturing Lab. Lab technicians take responsibility for many aspects of manufacturing operations, from equipment operation, proper documentation of procedures, daily lab cleanup and having the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems. The Lab Technician works under the supervision of the Lab & Assistant Lab Managers to ensure all tasks are executed effectively.

What You'll Do:

  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures (SOP's).
  • Document information by creating and maintaining accurate batch records.
  • Intake and process raw cannabis material into a crude oil.
  • Process crude oil into refined cannabis based oil and prepare for specific secondary refining processes.
  • Carry out cannabis oil secondary refining processes to completion with clear and well-defined labeling to ensure absolute traceability throughout the process.
  • Navigate and operate Cannabis Tracking Systems (CTS's) and execute common commands to accomplish tasks.
  • Operate, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure laboratory safety and ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
  • Actively participate in daily and weekly manufacturing meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace in the laboratory.
  • Work with laboratory management to keep lab inventory in stock.
  • Maintains glassware by picking up, cleaning, washing, sterilizing and organizing.
  • Assist management in daily manufacturing processes to assure that all goals and demands are met and exceeded as the lab scales into greater capabilities.
  • Ability to work in variable shifts depending on employee coverage.
  • What You'll Need:

  • Minimum High School Education
  • 1-2 years of laboratory and/or related experience.
  • Knowledge of cannabis based chemistry and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft based programs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process or equipment failures.
  • Must conduct detailed record keeping, proper labeling, and data tracking.
  • Familiarity with chemical and laboratory safety.
  • Able to work independently and within team environments to accomplish tasks.
  • Motivated and eager to learn/develop.
  • Must be over 21 years of age.
