Lab Manager

Nordic Analytical Laboratories is a state certified and ISO 17025 accredited cannabis testing facility, located in Denver, Colorado, expanding soon to Pueblo, Colorado. Nordic is looking to add a Lab Manager who will lead a team of scientists to ensure the lab meets its QA/QC goals.

Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership and ensure industry based knowledge is disseminated within the laboratory
  • Maintain ISO 17025 standards
  • Develop and/or maintain innovative and validated techniques for testing
  • Organize, plan and execute all necessary steps to ensure continued laboratory certification so that analytical methodologies meet CO proficiency requirements
  • Manage analytical testing personnel in order to ensure operations meet CDPHE and MED specifications
  • Provide quality laboratory services to clients
  • Perform sample preparation and data analysis as needed
  • Maintain Agilent and Shimadzu instrumentation through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibrations

    • Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain a MED Key Badge (must not have any federal offenses or drug related crimes on record)
  • Must have at least a Master's Degree in the natural sciences and 5 years laboratory experience in a regulated industry conducting toxicology, analytical chemistry or diagnostic testing.
  • Previous management experience
  • Must be a resident of the state of Colorado
  • Analytical cannabis testing experience preferred

    • Experience: laboratory: 5 years (Required)

    Education: Master's (Required)

    License: MED Occupational License (Required)
