Inventory Specialist

We are currently looking to fill the position of Inventory Specialist to assist the Distribution Manager in daily operations, including supervision of shipping and receiving, inventory control and fleet management. The successful applicant will support Distribution operations by assisting the Manager in the day-to-day execution of merchandise processing through the Distribution Network. This position analyzes and interprets data and trends and recommends solutions for inventory deficiencies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • LeafLogix Integration: Inventory Management, Order Input and Export
  • Daily Cycle Counts of all products inventoried, manifested, and maintained by Distribution
  • Task Management Assistance via Trimble
  • Realtime Geo-Tracking of vehicles
  • Coordination and Communication as needed with Dispensaries
  • Assistance with transfers and movements as required.
  • Order Picking Assistance
  • Assistance with Receipt and Shipping as needed
  • Ensure that all warehouse personnel follow policies and procedures for inventory-handling.
  • Develop and maintain accuracy standards to ensure unit inventory integrity
  • Evaluate and track level of service and accuracy standards
  • Assist the Distribution Manager in overseeing inventory
  • Assist in creation and submission of all required reports to local and state regulatory agencies
  • Perform regular cycle counts and verification of all raw materials and packaging supplies
  • Manage customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly
  • Track Associate production figures and provides information to Manager for daily reporting
  • Actively participate in company-wide Continuous Improvement process
  • Control material flows and inventory accuracy using internal business system
  • Control finished product damage levels and monitor product loading errors
  • Ensure 100% inventory accuracy
  • Assist in the development and or implementation of internal systems and business processes
  • Allocate available inventory to multiple production sites for a pull distribution environment
  • Facilitate the review and resolution of potential inventory shortages and overage issues
  • Assist in root cause analysis on issues pertaining to safety, service, quality and cost
  • Manage data integrity of our in-house proprietary system, spreadsheets and other forms of data
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Engineering or Logistics
  • Knowledge of Fleet Management and Route Optimization
  • Working knowledge of California Cannabis Compliance Regulations
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills
  • Able to maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines
  • Strong computer literacy skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
  • Experience:

  • Inventory: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Supply Chain: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Pay frequency: Every other week
