Inventory Specialist

An Inventory Specialist will be responsible for in-taking and verifying the receipt of all inert components that are related to production. The Inventory Specialist reports directly to the Production Manager. The Inventory Specialist works closely with the Fulfillment Supervisor, and may be asked directly to pull components that are needed for daily projects. It is their responsibility to ensure that the quantities on hand match the quantities in the Enterprise Resource Planning “ERP”, Alpha, and that the inventory department is well-organized.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Company’s owned goods and brand-related goods are received, tracked, and stored in an organized fashion.
  • Combines and consolidates partial master cases from production
  • Redirects resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.
  • Responsible for all controlled inventory
  • Facilitates in the planning of current and future work schedules, and makes recommendations as to the scheduling of work based on inventory receipts.
  • Receives supplies, equipment, materials and properly secures the inventory room.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness in the inventory room.
  • Oversees proper inventory loading and securing into vehicles, reviews manifest with
  • drivers and obtains all required signatures for manifests and chain of custody forms.
  • Integral part of populating, implementing and controlling the inventory platform, Alpha.
  • Ensures that quantities on hand match the quantities that were transferred from fulfillment departments, and matches the quantities in Alpha.
  • Responsible for all inert brand related inventory intake and release, both physically and in Alpha.
  • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures including, but not limited to, secured storage requirements and conducting inventory audit every 14 calendar days.
  • Responsible for data, inventory control, and reconciliation.
  • Accurately pick, pack and load orders as requested
  • Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will already have experience working in the inventory department in a manufacturing environment working under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work a system and provide insight to improve procedures
  • Must be 21+
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US
  • High school diploma
  • Background in the sciences and/or laboratory experience
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing stairs while carrying items, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting over surfaces and lifting 50lbs. This position includes extended use of the computer including data entry. Must be able to differentiate substances by odor, color, and clarity.
