Inventory Control Supervisor

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining inventory system accuracy, data integrity, local level audit controls and inventory levels to prevent product and/or raw material out-of-stocks.

  • Supervise daily counts of full goods/raw materials
  • Supervise weekly counts of ancillary items
  • Assist in reconciliation of inventory variances of finished goods/raw materials/ancillary items
  • Review/Reconcile daily production confirmations
  • Review daily product disposition reports
  • Review/Audit product movement within facilities, i.e. check out/in procedures, breakage write-off process, and product recover/destruction process
  • Report any short-dated product to Warehouse Manager.
  • Hire/Train/Develop inventory analysts
  • Facilitate the efficient flow of inventory with a focus on quality, cost control and metrics
  • Strategize and support processes that promote efficiencies and maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Review day supply reports for out of stock risks and communicate to Centralized and local Planning as appropriate
  • Review inbound material orders/delivery schedule to ensure raw material supply meets production schedule demands
  • Review interim storage types, age of stock reports, obsolete materials, run inventory cycle count reports, support year end physical inventory count, warehouse product traceability
  • Review system transaction process to ensure data is accurately posted
  • Review customer credits, returns, internal STO returns, and vendor returns, etc.
  • Train system end users as needed in system processes as needed
  • Create and maintain documentations for inventory control process
  • Provide support to the Accounting Dept. to complete all required month-end activities
  • Generate daily / weekly / monthly reports from system to report past due inbound and outbound deliveries
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ Years of experience leading an inventory team in a manufacturing plant responsible for both Finished Goods and Raw Material Ingredient
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skill
  • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization
  • Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media
  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department
  • Ability to articulate job goals in a manner theyre completed effectively the first time
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles related to FIFO, LIFO, etc.,
  • Experience working with Warehouse Managed Systems and Ingredient Managed Systems
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook; and databases
  • At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US
  • Proper employment documentation; reliable transportation and valid drivers license
  • Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location:
  • Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables
  • EDUCATION

  • Associates or Bachelors degree is desirable
  • Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required
