Human Resources Director

We are hiring a Human Resources Director, who reports to directly to the CEO. This person will use their passion for developing people and culture to help Vesta grow. As HR Director, you will be responsible for the company's people and culture functions. In partnership with the management team, you will lead from the front. You will have support to initiate change to ensure that we have the best recruiting, performance, compensation and retention plans-most importantly, that we have an environment where our people can and will thrive.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of HR and people operations (benefits, compensation, performance management, immigration, etc.), with a strong emphasis on supporting recruiting, on-boarding, developing and retaining our employees
  • Evaluate and implement appropriate HR policies, working with legal counsel, risk management and employees to ensure alignment with appropriate business units and state and federal laws
  • Supervise an HR team
  • Work with the senior leadership team to measure new hire performance and evolve on-boarding and new hire orientation programs
  • Provide strategic HR support to functional teams in areas such as performance management, management training and coaching, organizational development, and employee relations
  • Support a culture of transparency by addressing people relations issues quickly, consistently and respectfully
  • Maximize our organizational talent through proactive hiring, coaching and performance management
  • Partner with the senior leadership team to enrich a culture where employees thrive
  • Maintains current knowledge of related government rules and regulations, Workers Compensation, and other applicable labor and/or tax regulations
  • Oversee the management of our benefits, benefits contracts, vendor relationships and annual negotiations
  • Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree with 8+ years of experience working in Human Resources or related function, preferably in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of working effectively with internal business partners
  • Interpersonal skills to engage, motivate, and influence people and culture
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, changing, and fast-paced environment
  • Passion for helping managers with organizational planning, career growth programs and mentoring
  • Experience in developing and executing training and development programs
  • Experience in talent acquisition in a high-growth organization
  • Familiarity with HRIS
  • Knowledge of current state and federal labor laws and employment practices
