The Legion of Bloom is seeking an experienced and passionate Human Resources Coordinator to lead our team to success!

The Human Resources Coordinator would be in charge of recruitment, onboarding, employee lifecycle, employee relations, payroll, culture development, benefits & rewards, and event coordination such as leadership training and company gatherings.

This position works cross departmentally, and interfaces with nearly every member of the organization. As such, qualified candidates should be able to communicate with different roles, in various capacities.

This is an involved role that would be integrated deeply into the fabric of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecast upcoming hires interdepartmentally
  • Cultivate comprehensive Talent pool
  • Coordinate communication with candidates
  • Schedule interviews with various team members
  • Perform reference checks and issue employment contracts
  • Create offer letters, job descriptions, onboarding materials
  • Compile & maintain employee paperwork
  • Coordinate performance management procedures
  • Maintain oversight of employee relations
  • Mediate and document any incidents or occurrences
  • Stay up to date on federal and local labor law
  • Implement employee procedures to adhere to labor law
  • Advise Directors & C Level executives on talent
  • Issue Payroll (semi-weekly)
  • Track and submit taxation
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources.
  • 2-3 years of experience as an HR Coordinator.
  • Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
  • Effective HR administration and people management skills.
  • Exposure to payroll practices.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, Google Sheets, and related business and communication tools.
  • Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous HR experience in Cannabis preferred.
