Head of Delivery
Lowell Herb Co. is looking for a Head of Delivery that will be a key contributor across our all delivery processes, technologies and will drive significant value as the company continues to grow. The Head of Delivery/VP of Delivery will provide leadership to build and control strategic and business aspects of the delivery operations. Your first task is to immediately build out driving team as well as implementing the routes in which are most efficient with cost and time.
The right candidate for this role possesses strong leadership qualities, extreme orientation to detail and is obsessed with efficient operations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing the strategy (both short and long term) for delivery service logistics from conception to implementation to iteration to re-implementation. Build out fleet of drivers to accomplish distribution/etc. The ideal candidate understands how to build multiple delivery routes, is familiar w/optimization of routing software and has solid delivery software experience as a whole. Preexisting experience with hiring and training drivers is a requirement.
Support core business operations: Delivery system implementation, operational management. Perform continual needs assessments and optimize systems to achieve greater efficiencies.
Qualifications:
6+ years with Delivery Logistics.
Experience building out fleet of drivers.
Experience with Delivery systems programs and/or knowledge on how to implement said program.
Heavy experience with mapping multiple routes for distribution of products.
Strong tech aptitude including POS systems, driver tracking software, and web-based applications.
Analytical skills to interpret reports, systems, and other technical information and form conclusions and/or recommendations.
Entrepreneurial spirit with previous experience in early startups. You think outside of the box and are resourceful and fiscally responsible.
