Grow Supervisor

The Grow Supervisor is an essential coordinator and motivator! Share your secret stash of enthusiasm and know-how with your teammates each day! In this role, you’ll set goals, expectations, and performance standards for our entire grow team and help bring our performance level even higher. You’ll work with the Head Grower and other managers to translate goals and procedures from an operational, production-driven outlook into real-word plans and ideas that work for the people working hands-on with the cannabis plant.

Responsibilities

  • Develop veg schedules to satisfy all daily tasks.
  • Train Grow Techs to perform in a proficient manner, providing motivation through personal example and interpersonal skills
  • Establish grow goals, monitor employee performance, and provide regular 1x1 performance feedback to help the employee succeed.
  • Ensure employees are following all safety & operating procedures and GTI policies.
  • Maintain compliance with all State laws/regulations that affect GTI operations and safety, while promoting safety policies and awareness
  • Document and provide performance feedback to the Grow Manager
  • Identify outstanding employees that can take on more responsibilities.
  • Working cooperatively with grow team members to complete daily tasks
  • Coordinate with all Veg Grow Techs to ensure consistent processes and procedures throughout each grow room.
  • Organizing employees to water and ensure fertilizer mixture accuracy
  • Work cooperatively with the Grow laborers to assure GTI veg procedures are followed.
  • Conducting IPM scouting
  • Working cooperatively with the Head Grower on propagation schedule, properly manicuring and training veg plants, queuing plants to move to flower, compliant plant moves in METRC
  • Plan & Schedule each day to support veg requirements.
  • Perform and train employees to do the following:
  • Propagate and perform daily care of clones
  • Identify mutations, stunted plants or the appearance of deficiencies as early as possible
  • Achieve vigorous and healthy growth of veg stock
  • Conduct essential METRC functions where applicable
  • Hydrate CharCoir cubes and lead transplant
  • Water veg plants and understand fertilizer program
  • Prune, top and defoliate as necessary for an even, well trained canopy
  • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college or vocational training a plus
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Previous cannabis cultivation experience required
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered, including internal experience.
  • Skill in analyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and implementing recommendations in support of Company philosophies and goals.
  • Skill in planning, organizing, assigning and coordinating resources.
  • Ability to research, evaluate and adapt to new methods and techniques for operational improvement.
  • Ability to regularly exercise discretionary authority in regards to Grow processes.
  • Ability to listen well and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to use initiative and independent judgment appropriately.
  • Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the Grow operation.
  • Additional Requirements

  • Must possess valid government-issued photo ID.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or Company regulations for working in the industry.
  • Must obtain and retain a state-issued Medical Cannabis ID badge
  • Working Conditions

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform grasping, reaching, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: May be required to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 75 pounds (200 pounds with assistance)
  • Must be able to climb and work on ladders
  • Must be able to work in high temperatures and humidity while wearing appropriate uniforms, which may include full body coverings.
