Greenhouse Manager

The Greenhouse Manager at Pope Farms is the responsible person in charge of maintaining our genetics by steadily improving the quality and stabilization of the genetics. This position will report to the Production Manager at Pistil Partners.

Responsibilities:

Managing inventory and tracking plants throughout grow cycle

Monitor plants for overall health and nutrition

Make sure that section growers are keeping documents up to date and complete

Maintain batch documents

Implement and manage IPM program

Supervise and motivate staff

Ensure we are progressing towards GMP, GAP and GDP (Good Documentation Practices).

Keeping all facilities in working and operating order

Ensure greenhouses are clean and presentable at all times

Maintain sanitation practices

Train staff on SOP’s and work instructions as well as, ensure they are executed as intended.

Enforce SOP’s

Propagate and produce seed from start to finish

Take cuttings and raise clones

Report to Operations Manager on site

Daily walk thru of greenhouse and video call with Production Manager

Carry out monthly Health & Safety meetings with workers

Confirm that monthly safety walk thru and checks are completed by worker rep.

Create forms

Monitor contractors and vendors when onsite

Order production supplies

Responsible for property when Operations Manager is off site

Recommend upgrades and modifications of property and production space

Coordination and maintain production schedules

Experience: Greenhouse Management: 5 years (Required) Horticulture: 10 years (Required)

Education: Bachelor's (Required)

Language: English (Required) Spanish (Preferred)

Security Clearance Required: Confidential (Preferred)

Work Location: One location

Schedule: Monday to Friday Holidays required
