Gardener

️ Cultivation

As a Siren Gardener, your primary responsibilities are to help facilitate both the optimum growth, quality, appearance and health of plants and the smooth operation of the cultivation facility. This will be accomplished by following the directions of the lead grower. Additional responsibilities include trimming and participating in the training/development and education of staff members. You can expect to spend 25-30 hours per week in the garden and 10-15 hours per week trimming and supervising trimmers. Communication skills, organization, attention to safety and detail, and exceptional time management skills are critical to the success of the organization.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Valid Marijuana Workers Permit
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Horticulture or related college degree is a plus
  • Pesticide License a plus
  • At least 1 year of experience in cannabis cultivation, or at least 2 years of experience in other horticultural settings and/or other cannabis settings
  • Ability to stand, climb, squat, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 75lbs (200 pounds with assistance)
  • Willingness to work flexible and long hours during peak season with weekends required
  • Team oriented
  • Must have reliable transportation and good attendance
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with various aspects of growing including: taking clones, potting, transfers, watering, mixing, spraying, cleaning, maintenance, harvesting as assigned by the lead grower
  • Plant maintenance
  • Treating pest issues related issues using IPM practices
  • Cleaning and facility maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to use hand and power tools as necessary
  • Trimming and supervising trimmers
  • All other duties assigned
  • Reports to: Cultivation Manager

    Supervises: Trimmers

    Sick Pay: 1 hour for every 30 hours works, up to 40 hours in a calendar year

    Experience: cannabis cultivation: 1 year (Preferred)

    Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)

    Work authorization: United States (Required)
