Dry / Cure Manager

The Dry/Cure Manager is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties including accurately and efficiently supervising the Dry/Cure Team. The Dry/Cure Manager is a step-by-step focused professional, a supervisor of people and products, with exceptional attention to detail regarding technical aspects of the dry/cure process and documentation. The Dry/Cure Manager is solutions-centered and motivated by good outcomes, and a technical thinker that excels in written communication as well as the ability to be flexible. The Dry/Cure Manager reports directly to the Director of Production.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Leads and oversees all drying and curing activities;
  • Establishes Departmental KPI;
  • Works to ensure departmental efficiencies, quality, and productivity improvements are realized;
  • Schedules department to ensure seamless interaction with upstream and downstream processes;
  • Prioritizes and manages dry rooms based on harvest dates to ensure the flow of fresh product while minimizing old inventory;
  • Adapts processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis, and make quality control decisions and adjustments as necessary;
  • Possesses the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct manager;
  • Trains and motivates direct reports to achieve KPIs while creating synergy with members of other departments;
  • Manages proper binning, burping, curing, hydrating, and ideal moisture content at all stages;
  • Continuously monitors and improves product quality as it relates to the dry cure process to ensure product quality is at the highest level possible;
  • Monitors documentation within seed to sale software and associated logs;
  • Monitors and manages proper dry, cure, and trim room environmental conditions;
  • Participates in staff recruitment, training, evaluations, reviews, and discipline;
  • Facilitates accurate inventory procedures and processes;
  • Participates in staff meetings and attend conference calls and meetings as required.
  • JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry;
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Ample, Employee Timekeeping and scheduling platforms preferred;
  • Must pass background checks, including fingerprints and drug screening, per applicable requirements set forth;
  • Must be able to sustain extended periods of light to moderately heavy physical activity;
  • Previous Employee Supervision experience preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Knowledge or ability to understand the safe use of various chemical substances used in cleaning purposes and pest control;
  • Ability to operate electronic equipment and standard office equipment;
  • Detail-oriented technical individual with strong desire for problem-solving;
  • Work effectively with others and autonomously.
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends and evenings during high production initiatives;
  • This job function may include walking, sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over, kneeling and/or crouching;
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance);
  • Regular attendance, as scheduled, is required for this position.
