Halo is seeking detail oriented, mechanically inclined, and knowledgeable chemist for cannabis extraction technician. Distillate extraction technician is responsible for coordinating the daily production of high-quality cannabis concentrates. Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of either chemistry, physics, or chemical engineering. Distillate Extraction Technician needs to know how to use butane and carbon dioxide to create marijuana concentrates as well as operate closed- loop hydrocarbon extraction systems and process samples using analysis methods. Distillate extraction technician will use solvents (including carbon dioxide, ethanol and butane), heat and pressure to turn marijuana plant matter into cannabis concentrates, which are then refined to ensure purity. Extraction technicians will also collect samples for potency testing and record resulting data, and weigh, package as well as batch track cannabis products. Additionally, extraction technician must ensure that the lab equipment and lab facility where they work are clean and otherwise well maintained. The successful candidate will have some experience with labwork or manufacturing and working with strict standard operating procedures. They will also be familiar with spreadsheet software, data tracking, time tracking, and are able to follow clear and concise direction.
