Mayflower is one of the few license holders in Massachusetts and as such we are uniquely positioned for market leadership. We will be opening one of the 3 Boston approved dispensaries. In addition, we have invested in a 36,000sf state of the art cultivation facility to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity and quality of our products.
We are currently looking for an experienced general manager to run our dispensary in Allston.
The General Manager will oversee the daily retail operations of Mayflower Medicinals, Inc. (MMI) dispensary, including but not limited to: ordering, patient paperwork, sales, cash handling processes, financial reporting, inventory management, patient service, communication, education and information management, as well as, regulatory compliance. MMI follows the health care management model, operating under the highest standards of professionalism and compassionate patient service.
Responsibilities and Duties
Responsible for all dispensary operations including, sales, inventory management, merchandising, staffing, training, performance counseling, and evaluations.
Train, coach, and develop Assistant Managers.
Ensure compliance with local and state regulations along with company policies and procedures.
Perform inventory audits and assessments of productivity.
Scheduling of retail staff on a weekly basis.
Oversight of dispensary maintenance including but not limited to; HVAC, plumbing, repairs, snow removal, and IT.
Complete daily sales reporting for MMI and, working with the Controller oversee all MMI reporting protocols.
Training team members to provide compassionate patient service.
Maintain accountability for all team members.
Develop and lead weekly manager meetings and monthly team meetings.
Participate in ongoing education, community outreach and professional development as needed.
Make sure that all operations of the stores run safely and efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience in hospitality service and/or high volume retail environment.
Prior Cannabis experience desirable.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Minimum five (5) years of retail management experience along with management of 10+ individuals.
Knowledge of local and state laws and regulations pertaining to medical marijuana, a plus.
Proficient in Excel, POS, and inventory management control systems.
Strong interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must successfully pass an extensive background check, including CORI.
Must be able to life and carry up to 75lbs.
