Director of Production

️ Cultivation

The Director of Production will oversee all aspects of the production facility from the greenhouses to packaging. The qualified individual will be responsible for the production schedule and will direct the activities of cultivation, harvest, trim, and processing to ensure company quality standards are met in order to exceed customer expectations. The Director of Production will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as state laws and regulations governing medical marijuana and producing for human consumption.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide leadership of logistics, materials, planning, and manufacturing functions
  • Supervise the day-to-day production operations to meet customer, quality, efficiency, sales, and financial goals
  • Monitor and drive KPI metrics for quality, cost, and inventory
  • Document and assess problem areas; introduce solutions for resolving problems
  • Evaluate business efficiency and productivity against short and long-term goals
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors, review quotes and estimates, and ensure deadlines are met for completion of projects
  • Work closely with other members of the management team to develop and implement rules, regulations, policies, and procedures to advance the Company’s goals and objectives
  • Interpret and effectively manage multiple and competing priorities and timelines
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge, and implement operational best practices
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and local laws, including recordkeeping requirements
  • Responsible for employee relations, including hiring, discipline, evaluations, and terminations
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor
  • Qualifications:

    Required:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a high school diploma, or the equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or Project Management, or a related field
  • Six (6) years progressive management experience
  • Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Department of Commerce
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Preferred:

  • Four (4) years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Experience in the regulated cannabis industry
  • Combination of education and experience will be considered
