JOB PURPOSE: Caring for cannabis flowers in an indoor environment takes a lot of dedication. This position requires someone trustworthy, accountable, and who possesses great attention to detail.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: You will be responsible for gardening, pruning, and harvesting cannabis plants. Responsibilities include daily plant care, maintenance and trimming of plants. This includes following cultivation standards to ensure consistent quality of crop production, assisting with nutrient application, irrigation, pest control, and other specific production practices, while maintaining a safe work environment.
JOB DUTIES:
Complete daily plant and environment tasks as assigned.
Maintain standard of quality control of plants and assist with immature plant propagation.
Assist with execution of production and harvest plans.
Ensure proper care of plants through watering, feeding, pruning and monitoring grow environment, as specified by cultivation team.
Assist with and follow crop production plan to include an integrated pest management system (IPM).
Develop proficiency and follow safety practices with the operation of equipment, fertigation systems, environmental controls, water distribution system, and security system.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks, troubleshooting malfunctions and assisting with solutions.
Participate in ongoing educational activities about proper cultivating standards and compliance.
Responsible for ensuring cleanliness of yourself and work areas always.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Some knowledge of maintenance procedures for indoor controlled environment gardening is preferred but not required.
Flexibility on weekends and extended seasonal hours is mandatory. Must be trustworthy and dependable with reliable transportation.
Strong communication skills are a must. Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and management.
Must have integrity, honesty and loyalty. Ability to feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to follow direction, show attention to details and have a good attitude.
Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Comfortable with computers, technology and applications with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 21 years old and able to pass criminal background check.
Starting rate: $18.50
Must be available full time: 40 hours per week
Complete daily plant and environment tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent. One year of cannabis industry experience preferred, but not required.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work may require prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires normal range of hearing. Requires close vision with the ability to see color and adjust focus. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds, and using assistance (multiple people, dolly).
