Location: Portland, OR

Company Overview: Company is producer of award-winning, high-quality, indoor cannabis for the Oregon recreational market Operates large, highly-sophisticated indoor facility in Portland Produces flower and other products Customers include dispensaries, extraction companies and wholesalers in the Oregon market Looking to build a best-in-class sales strategy and team

Summary: Manage all sales-related activities for the Company Develop overall sales strategy, manage key client relationships and build out and manage sales team Work closely with the General Manager and executive team to set pricing and negotiate with buyers Act as a key source of information and knowledge on the Oregon market to help inform product planning Work closely with branding and marketing team to craft and execute strategic initiatives designed to increase brand awareness and drive sales growth

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary (depending on experience) with performance-based incentives. $80-100K base + commission.

  • Role and Responsibilities: Sales Strategy
    o Product mix
    o Buyer selection and targeting o Regional staffing and strategy o Coordination with branding and marketing efforts o CRM development and client management

    Client sourcing o Manage sales team to target all regions and new potential buyers; implement CRM for this process o Manage process of trade samples and swag for buyers o Attend tradeshows and conferences o Visit retail stores, and wholesale/extraction companies o Deliver sales presentations, coordinate select facility tours and close new accounts

    -Sales / client management o Manage sales team on negotiation of pricing and terms o Prepare and manage sales orders o Coordinate order fulfillment with operations team o Prepare weekly sales reports for GM and executives o Manage larger client relationships o Resolve any client sales, delivery, and/or payment issues

  • Marketing o Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives with marketing team o Develop marketing materials for use with new and existing clients o Ongoing market research / knowledge of market dynamics
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (not required)
  • Five plus years of experience in sales and management
  • Experience and relationships in the Oregon cannabis industry a significant plus
  • Passion for the cannabis industry
  • Eligible for OLCC marijuana worker permit
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook as well as Salesforce
  • Sophisticated and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and positive team player
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to thrive in a fast paced, self-driven environment
