We are looking for an experienced, cost conscious Buyer/Planner to assist with our purchasing operations. We're looking for a product-savvy professional who will be responsible for creating purchase order tracking systems, alerting management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answering vendor questions and providing them additional order documentation as needed. The successful candidate for this position has experience in the lean manufacturing industry and has a strong understanding of supply chain management concepts. We’re a forward-thinking operation with expansion on the horizon.

Role and Responsibilities

Purchase order creation; order tracking and management; and price dispute resolutions

Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders

Deliver a weekly purchase order report to management that indicated the vendor invoice number

for all closed purchase orders

Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all delivery’s satisfy the assigned

purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products

Assist the Supply Chain Director with maintaining proper inventory levels of material used on a

regular basis

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age

2 + years’ experience in a manufacturing environment

College degree preferred. BS in Supply Chain Management, or Business Management is a +

Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel, MS Word and industry standard purchase order

software platforms
